What the VA sent
Synthetic sampleThis letter informs you of our decision on your claim received May 1, 2025. Service connection for migraine headaches is GRANTED with an evaluation of 30 percent effective June 3, 2025. How it works
1
Paste or Upload
Paste the letter text, or upload a PDF or a phone photo. It is read once, in memory.
2
Read the Decode
What was decided, the findings ranked by severity and every deadline found, each with the exact quote and its place in your letter.
3
Know Your Next Move
Each option explained side by side, when to bring in a person, and free accredited help listed on the same page.
We are not a claims company
Unaccredited “consultants” charge veterans a percentage of back pay, or five to six times the monthly increase, for help that accredited representatives give free or under VA-regulated fees. ServiceRecord was built to be the opposite of that, on purpose.
Never a Cut of Your Benefits
Your back pay is yours. The analysis is free, and the one thing for sale is a $25 worksheet. Nobody here touches, estimates or takes a share of what you are owed.
One Flat Fee, Once
Every decode is free and identical for everyone. If you want the organized Prep Pack to bring to a representative, it costs $25 one time, with no subscription and no retainer.
Free Help on Every Result
Every analysis ends with where real human help lives: DAV, VFW and the American Legion, your county veterans service officer, and VA's own accreditation search. None of them pays us.
Know the Warning Signs
Percentage fees. Guaranteed increases. A request for your VA.gov login. A name missing from VA's accreditation search. A charge for an initial claim, which federal law prohibits for everyone. Check VA's accreditation search.
Check every line against your letter
Every Finding Quotes Your Letter
Each finding carries the exact fragment and names the section it came from. If the letter does not say it, the decode does not either.
Not Stated Means Not Stated
If your document leaves out a date or an amount, the decode says so and names the office that can confirm it. No made-up number, ever.
Read Once, Then Gone
No document storage, no account, no training on your data. The session timeline lives in your tab and closes with it.
Independence in Writing
No money from the VA, from claims companies or from anyone we refer you to. The charter is public on the About page.
Honest pricing
The analysis is free for everyone. Paying buys an organized worksheet, and the answer stays the same.

Fair questions
Is the free decode the full analysis?
Yes. Free and paying users get the identical analysis: the same findings, the same deadlines, the same citations. The $25 Prep Pack is an organized worksheet built from that analysis. Money never changes what the tool tells you.
What happens to my documents?
They are read once, analyzed in memory and discarded. Nothing is stored, sold or used to train anything. Your session timeline lives only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it.
Will you tell me which review lane to pick?
No, on purpose. Lane choice turns on your evidence, your denial reason and timing, and that judgment is what VA-accredited representatives are trained and authorized to make. VSO help is free. The decode explains each lane side by side and lists accredited help on every result.
Can you estimate my back pay or predict my rating?
No. An estimate built on one letter's partial data produces a confident wrong number, which is how claims companies sell. The VA at 800-827-1000 or your accredited representative can compute entitlement from your full award history.
Are you affiliated with the VA or any claims company?
No. We take no money from the VA, from claims companies or from anyone we list as a referral. The flat $25 Prep Pack is the only revenue.
Is this legal advice?
No. ServiceRecord explains what your documents say. We are not a law firm and not accredited representatives, and the decode tells you plainly when your situation needs one.
